An Ajax couple says they have been the target of racially charged verbal harassment by a neighbour in the community, as well as another member of the community who claims she has been harassed by the same neighbour. The Executive director of Community Justice Alternatives, Ms. Audrey Isenor, was interviewed by Aaron Streck, a correspondent from Global News to speak on the issue of systemic racism and oppression in the Durham region where she gives insight on how CJA and staff are diligently working on messaging and providing impactful educational resources in form of listening circles in this time. Aaron Streck has the details.
We also want to remind Durham residents that our Durham Community Mediation Program is free to all members of our community. The sooner conflict is dealt with, the better chance of long term success. If you have a community dispute please feel free to reach out to dcmp@cjadurham.org.
