On the second Thursday of every month between 6:30-8:00 pm EST, Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region (CJADurham) presents Listening Circles of Inclusion and everyone is welcome! Our Listening Circles of Inclusion are open to all, free but you must register to obtain the link. Our Circles are held online at World Event Center and we thank Sue Sutcliffe and her team for their sponsorship.
CJA Durham gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Ajax Community Fund at Durham Community Foundation made possible by the Town of Ajax.
Listening Circles of Inclusion sessions arose to address a need identified by our staff/interns & volunteers at Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region with respect to Anti-Black Racism in our communities following the murder of George Floyd (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) in Minneapolis. Please see our statement of June 3, 2020.
Our Circles have expanded to address systemic barriers for many people and topics have included White Fragility and its Impact on Anti-Black Racism, Rethinking Education, Untold Black Canadian History, and Intersectionality to name a few and 2021 topics are listed but subject to change to meet societal issues.
Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone you feel appropriate and please reach out at any time if you have any questions or would like to know more about Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region:
