Each month we gather for respectful, open, honest, healthy and sometimes uncomfortable conversations about racism, addressing discriminatory practices, policies, beliefs and attitudes within ourselves, the Durham Region community and surrounding communities.
Our May topic is Creating Calm through Self-Care
During this tumultuous time, it is more important than ever to take care of ourselves. Covid-19 Pandemic continues with no close end in sight, the news is full of troublesome stories and we are in a constant state of stress. Anti-Black Racism must remain front and centre. Working from home, virtual learning in our homes, the lack of communication with co-workers and interactions with loved ones are taking a toll. Join us as we discuss some ways to take care of ourselves.
Everyone is welcome and admission is free but registration is required.
