Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region launched a monthly interactive virtual event series called Listening Circles of Inclusion. Each month we gather for respectful, open, honest, healthy and sometimes uncomfortable conversations about racism, addressing discriminatory practices, policies, beliefs and attitudes within ourselves, Durham Region community and surrounding communities. Some of the topics we’ve talked about so far are; Anti-Black Racism Statement & Planned Supports, The Impacts of Micro-aggression and Concrete Displays of Advocacy, Untold Canadian Black History and its Impact on Anti-Black Racism, and White Fragility and its Impact on Anti-Black Racism.
Everyone is welcome. Admission is free, but registration is required.
