Community Mediation Training (21 hours)

This 21-hour course will be online via ZOOM.  Training will take place:

• Sunday, September 29, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, October 1, 2024 – 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, October 3, 2024 – 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
• Sunday, October 6, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Participants are exposed to a comprehensive survey of community mediation.

Workshop Outcomes

Community mediation is part of a social justice and peacebuilding endeavour that seeks to promote healthy communities through peaceful conflict resolution.  Training will provide volunteers with a full understanding of the core values of community mediation as defined by OCMC/CMCO and CJA Durham.

This training aims to train mediators to handle the Durham Community Mediation Program caseload.
